What I learned about marriage after the first year

Backstory: My husband (Trevor) and I got married mid COVID in May of 2020. We had been together since November of 2017, and spent most of that time in two separate states - North Carolina and Ohio (our home) . We had to do this because Trevor was enlisted in the Marine Corps and I was in the Ohio Air National Guard. As a military member, engagements and marriages seem to come sudden - yes the memes and jokes are based on some truth - we became engaged after 6 months. We decided on a long engagement (2 deployments worth off time), planned a wedding - cancelled said wedding - got married at a local park with our preacher and then we lived happily ever after.... ha.

If this was a Disney blog that would be how it would end, but this is real life.

I decided on my first blog post I wanted to extend my knowledge on lessons that I learned after our first year of marriage.

I also wanted to talk about entering year two and the journey we are going through now.

So to celebrate "Cuffing Season" lets talk about marriage
